Hidden: Source kicks ass

As you may have guessed by the title of this topic, Hidden is a mod for the Source engine, HL2 to be specific. One player is a near-invisible knife wielding, wall-crawling freak, all the other players are assault rifle and shotgun-toting special forces types. Currently in a very playable third beta, and looks to be destined for quality on par with Dystopia.

Dystopia was kinda lame from what I played of it. The mod you should really be looking forward to is Zombie Panic, if only rhone would hurry up and get coding.

Hidden is pretty fun, but it gets old after a while.

The only multiplayer FPS I ever played much was....
<drumroll>
It was NOT Counter Strike...
It was NOT any Half Life thing at all...
Nore was it an of the battlefeild serise.
But...IT was...THE Scrayist...creepyist...most frighting multiplayer...game...EVER!
ALIEN VS PREDITOR 2!
Seriously the multiplayer, when your against good enemys, is terrifiying. No one can be with three other marines, running down a corridor, guns ready. You feel like nothing can stop you. Then the guy next to you is decapitated by an alien falling out of an air vent. A quick battle ensues. Pules rifles fire, grenades are luanched and over it all is that horrible screaching roar that all aliens make. You run, wounded but alive and reach air shaft.
Big mistake.
Your lights are out, the flash light dead. Then you toss down a flair, waiting for your batterys to recharge. Then you see the ten alines rushing down the vent at you. You back up, firing widly and get rushed by another bunch of aliens. You die, ripped apart by many claws.
But its even worse when your against a single alien. It could be anywhere on the map. Lurking...waiting.... ugh...thinking about it gives me the creeps.

Shutup, Even NS for Half life was scarier than AVP2.
And i'll ask twilight at somepoint how ZS:S is coming along.
And also, Get Insect infestationa dn NS:source as well. If you don't. You suck.

Natural Selection. The biggest third party mod for Halflife. Also probably one of the funnest games ever made.
Unfortuneately there will likely never be an NS source. Last I heard work towards it all but stopped when the forums died.

Ahh yeah. I heard a lot of hubbub about it. When that comes to Source I'll probably spend a lot of time playing that too. And yes, I'm a big fan of Zombie Panic (although I've never played it).

That would be AvP 1. The second has no flares IIRC and isn't actually scary imo, as it isnt dark enough.
The original however, was dark, and probably one of my most terrifying experieces on a LAN..
I was shivering. i was lone marine vs 2 aliens and one pred. Nobody seemed to be aroound. i hear that BEEP BEEP BEEP sound and see the blobs on my motion detector. I turn on the NV goggles to find the aliens. i Hear the skittling of aliens, and one of them were exactly in front of me. With a convulsion i blasted it away with a pulse grenade (ok, four) while the other was slashing me from behind. Pulse rifle blamblamblam, and my heart was pounding insanely.
Words cannot convey how scary that game is as marine.

heh, The fdg Group has got a zombie horde going on CS:S. Its basically Zombies v humans, With zombies tunring humans into zombies. Its fun,
