New Map: Red Plague (8x8) 1.1 Released!

Okies, so now i got my first map up. Ive seen people wanting a small map, so i made one. Hope its got enough space for you :oops:

1.1 released!

Changelog V1.1

Made wind 10-24 as it should be
removed grass from cliffs
added visible metalspots
upped mex radius
changed direction of sun (dunno why this got borked last time)
fixed some parts of the terrain that were very "pixly"
fixed start poses

Smoth, you think the texture is very bland. What do you suggest i change?

Yer, 1v1 or 2v2 is nice on this. Just had a run with Mong and SJ. tis nice :P

Gonna fix the ramps tho, they should have a better texture.

Two loses, no wins at that map, quite fun.

good metal is at bottom, and bottom is quite dangerous bc of the sorrounding hills..

dont forget the wind minimum and the mex range.
(oh and that sun direction thing..).

If you can do something for your texture, good.

if you cant, gameplay>texture_quality imo, so its nice as it is.

Also its nice to see a new colour grass...mabey now we can have golden coloured grass for savana type maps.

The texture is awfull
The mexrange is too small
The mex spots arn't visual

wow, that was 8 megs!

Ok, first the texture could use more detail, it was very very bland. Secomd the sky needs some work.

I really like the height map and would love to see this as a larger map. Keep working on it. It is not ready for release IMO but it is a nice start.

agree w smoth. heightmap looks very nice in fps view, the terracing-thing looks sweet! Make the texture more detailed, and maybe try to remove grass from steep slopes. visual mexes i think are a must!

The texture, while good, could be better. But sence I always play in FPS mode I got to see the terrices and their uber-coolness all the time! Neat mano y mano map.

And ice, im adding visible mexspots, mexradius already brought up. i'm going over the texture again, any specifics?

Smoth, im thinking of making another map with this terrace style, however im thinking about a layout that hasn't been done to oblivion.
Any ideas?

Haven't tried it ingame, but I like the layout and everything. There should be more 1v1 maps. 8)

Thankful for the positive criticism :-)

im thinking about a layout for a map maybe 8x16 big. I would post my idea, but its in my head atm, and i dont dont have one of those really nifty pens for my comp.. :cry:
(gonna get one tho)
