Noob question

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the main differences between core and arm. It seems to me that most of cores units dont seem to hold up against their ARM counterparts.

What kind of playstyle or strengths are core designed for?

Core has a slow hardhitting play style. Most of their units easily match arm's competing units unless the arm units are well microed. As a rule core is better for direct attacks while arm is better for sneak attacks at unexpected angles.

Ishach, have a poke around on the wiki pages, there are some unit guides floating around on there I think, one of them is fairly recent.

It also depends on what mod you're playing. Even though they started from the same base, AA and XTA appear to have arrived at very different play styles.

This used to be that in OTA... But I think the things are more in favor of ARM in Spring now. ARM can now have heavy level 3 units, on par with CORE. Top that with some added functionnalities that CORE don't do well or not at all.

Some examples:

ARM level 1 K-Bot factory can produce Warriors, a Level 1.5 unit, meaning you can still produce undeprecated units through all the game.
ARM has a stealthy tank unit and a sniper.
ARM has a level 1 gunship, not CORE.

Well this is my impression, I'm still very new to the game, and play only AA mod. I also would like to be convinced that CORE can be superior to ARM in some ways, but for now I have yet to figure what exactly are supposed to be the advantages of CORE.

Now if you weaken the Orcone, then perhaps it would be clearer why you play CORE

warriors are defenses against t1 raiding units such as instigators and flashs, the CORE counterpart is the exploiter
t3 has got differences.
CORE has a morty multipurpose bot, a pyro fast raiding bot, a Can a amazing defenses killing bot, the Sumo, all purpose pwnage, etc etc etc
