How do i get a screenshot/screencapture of my model in wings3d so its a image file.
I cant figure it out for the life of me.
Also where is the tutorial for uvmapping a tank model which uses that block tank done in wings3d. It then tells you how to assemble it in upspring. I found it quite useful and i want to use it to do a rerun through on uvmapping.
e/ for the tutorial i looked in the wiki and i couldnt find it, since the wiki has been updated(just to cover me from the look in the wiki coments) so id like to know where exactly in the wiki.

Nice start but you're clearly new at modelling so...
- No way in hell you need that many faces on the barrel, you can normally get away with 8 or 12.
- Things that are supposed to be rigid and not rotate or move in relation to each other, ie the chassis and tracks, should generally be a solid object, easier to UV map/texture and it'll shade better too.
- The proportions seem a bit out although you should as someone else about that.

Thanks, so things to do....
(1) redo the barrel
(2) make the tracks a solid object with the chassis
(3) learn how to do step 2
Anything else?

Post some new pics when you're done.

Well there isnt really much new stuff to see just the barrel with fewer faces now 10 instead of 16. For the chassis etc i just used combine is that ok?
Well i did this cause Sinclaire inspired me with his pitbull and flash. I was thinking do you think the blocky turret etc should be smoothed or should it be kept the same cause its more core like?
e/ oh and there is 232 faces 556 edges 350 vertices

i guess it need more wheels for those tracks.
but perhaps you can just texture them..

Combine is poorly named, it really just groups objects, to actually make them one you'll have to use tools like bridge.

Indeed. Which is ugly. Well. In my opinion anyway.
