Spring RTS Engine

Possibly for BA and/or BAR... seems like a way to add a little competitiveness back.

Along with cups of course; maybe make cups every 2/3months and smaller ladder mini tourneys on a monthly or something.

I'm literally working on it tonight! BAR should have solo matchmaking in the near future with team based not _too_ long after that (support for parties too).

The specifics on how we'll handle seasons/cups etc is undecided though.

I may suggest a ladder for day to day rankings/competitiveness. Had it back in the day for awhile but was wonkie. As far as “cups” i think those are KEY. Love it. But maybe sub-style tourneys/cups where say after 2/3cups theres a “big cup” or “grand cup” where the overall best based off points/placement from the first 3 lend you into the grand cup

Currently at the stage of writing the rating system to run on the middleware server so can use it in matchmaking, put it in a nice web-interface etc etc.

There will be discussions on the BAR discord as to how we implement those things.
