So this is a modeling suite?

How does it compare to wings, maya, 3dmax?

It's meant to be used by architects to get their ideas down.

You can export sketch-up models in 3ds, but the curves have about a thousand or so polies.

I love it. It's so esay to start modelling simple models, and i like the flash like groups you can make...


Google is gonna become worlds best mega coperation ever. They've just created a tool to fill out an enormus map with 3D objects. 10 years forward, we will have 3D of almost every major city out there!

the only trouble being the enormous number of polys involved. the Taj Mahal model pwned my computer!

we use sketchup here at the college of architecture at TTU... its not too shabby, but its not as accurate, or as realistic as 3dsmax... but it IS faster and easier... :P
