Spring RTS Engine

Namely all kinds of things about the mapconv.... I only found the right one after searching the forums and seeing other people having the "trees everywhere" and "apeshit over geovents" and "can't find featuremap" problems, and then after multiple tries succeeded somewhat with this one:

And I'm still not sure is the featuremap supposed to be 1/8x of texturemap or 1/8x+1? Tutorials say this and the threads say that... and the wiki articles don't even have dates to judge which is the latest. I finally didn't put any geovents in to make it convert right.

Could someone who makes maps, skim the wiki articles over and mark in big bold letters at the start that "this is considered obsolete" if it has links to some old mapconv / uses that. And mother, could you maybe have version numbers in your mapconv utilities...

Sorry if I came out angry, but it's just a big mess right now, it need not be that bad.

Click the "Page History" link down at the bottom of the page. I think these two are the most recent:

I don't have that much problems myself anymore, but could it be still a target that there's no false information in the wiki (better no info than false info!) and all articles point to mother's mapconv right version, ok?
Remove the old articles or move them somewhere or mark them or something.
It was a frustrating few hours for a simple task.

In my tutorial I pointed ppl to the latest version, along with grout and smfed in the archive as well.
