Hi every one,
I found a thread a way back where Yayo01 has slid a battle master out of generals, does anyone know what decompiler I can use to do that also and where I might get it along with any tutorials? I dont intend to use them for evil. Thanks hope this isn't an uber noob question.

Go look on the Generals' forums... however...
1. You cannot use content (like models / skins) from Generals in a Spring mod. Period. It's totally illegal, and if you try, I will be the first person to make a massive fuss and get your content removed from FU. Nothing personal, but you cannot be allowed to do something that might get the makers of Spring in trouble. While Spring is kind've on the edge in terms of copyrights/IP in several areas, this kind of thing is too far. Don't do it.
2. See number 1.
In short, if you're hoping to make a "Generals TC Mod for Spring"... either make your own, original models, or forget about it. If you lack the skills needed to make your own low-poly tanks or whatever... there are about a billion TA models available, with scripts, at places like Unit Universe. And there are plenty of websites, like Turbo Squid, where you can download models without any royalty issues.
But the people who made Generals can and will sue you, Nexus / FU and the Spring project if you attempt to steal their IP. This is not like making a "fan" project, like SWTA, where LucasArts isn't going to come after the makers, because they're not in competition with Spring.

If you do create ro use generals material in spring directly from CC Generals, you must place a legal disclaimer detailing that it is illegal and that you arent affiliated with us, else the spring engine will take the flak for it too..

Don't worry argh, I'll be happy to take care of the FU side of things.

Look, as soon as the Generals copyright owners get wind that content was being used in some engine, they're going to sue everyone. Period. All sorts of crazy litigious shit that the Spring team really doesnt want to deal with now, im sure
Just... dont be a tard. k?
You're going to take all of us down with you if you are

Don't forget. These companies want YOUR money, And will do whatever they can to take it from you.
Thats my motto. It helps to remeber it.

How would you like it if you worked hard towards a game and someone came along and stole all your content and hard work.
What you are doing is Stealing!!!!

I agree with Death Hawk compleatly. what if you worked your ass off to make something truely unique and someone just came along and stole it? Well that is EXACTLY what you will be doing! I hate downloding music illigally. And movies. And games. And, well pretty much anything illigal. Just because its harder to trace on the internet dosnt mean you should do it.
