I WANT GROUND TO AIR DGUN!

We all love commanders, we all use their dguns. It balance the game - helping us have better proctection for commander and that allows us to survive longer, funnier games.

So why dont we want to give a commander a ground to air dgun - just to help him survave brawlers attacks? It may be missle which when hit target will do mass explosion damaging everything else in the air, or may be smth different...

Do you like that idea?

Brawlers arn't OP for a very long time.
The D-gun is basicly made for the start of the game (thou later on it will come in handy too). You don't have brawler rushes on the start of the game.

If you're loosing to brawler rushes, you need more anti air. Flackers and Defenders, and their core equivalents, in spikes, spread around your comm. Mobile flack tanks with him at all times late game. Plus the comm can cloak! Ya know, radar picks up a large incoming force, most likely aircraft. All production ceases, a decoy comm takes up station and your real comm cloaks and runs like hell to a heavily defended area. Same as in OTA.

Possible without FPS mode. Just clicking on the things is damn near impossible, and then targetting them is even worse.

I know this is straying from the topic alittle, I think the commander
should be able to shot down planes with missiles. I known TA
didn't have this, but this is TA Spring stuff changes. So, IMHO
we should have a third opinion for the commander to defend himself.

I would like to see the commander get some type of missile
launcher added ...

I would only support that if it was a very light ground to air missle, for shooting down small annoying planes.

I agree with you, a lite missile that could shot down the little
planes flying arould :lol:

In AA, the Commander's laser and ability to quickly throw up MTs makes him quite good at protecting against L1 air.

Just ask krogothe for his predictive dgun targetting groupAI, the one that shot down a hawk in a replay among other things

I voted no because, in XTA, automatically D-gunning air would break stuff and make all air almost worthless.

D-gunning gunships is very possible due to their attack behavior. I've had my commander attacked by a swarm of 15 or so Brawlers in AA and killed them all with my D-gun. My enemy was rather embarassed.

I DLd that and tried to watch the replay, but I got a strange error: "Shutdown Error: Error looking up server from DNS". Anyone else get that?

replays are messed up, you need to host a replay instead of just running them. Not sure if it will work with this version of spring (the replay is old), but it shows a commander dgunning planes attacking him on AA
