Greetings!

Would you use a teamspeak server for TA:Spring?

If there are some guys who want to help me to administrate channels please let me know.

For the first step 100 slots should be ok.

THE SERVER IP: 62.141.52.53:9393 (No password)

Server location is Germany/Erfurt. It will run 24/7.

We still need more co-administrators on the server.

So please show some initiative and contact me.

regards Dr.InfernO

I can't say I can co-administrate, but I want an official ts server, that would be cool. gl

Wow, a Spring Teamspeak server would rock! Definatly do that. What exactly do you mean by co administrating ? I can imagine putting some effort into this, and I´d be glad to if that meant getting of the ground. I´m not online that much though (Maybe every second day for a few hours). So I´m not sure if I can help you as much as would be necessary. Also I´m not sure on how long I can promise to be helping.
Deutsch ist übrigens meine Muttersprache, also dürften wirs mit der Verständigung einfach haben :D.

question, are you running this server yourself?

Q#2

I have bought a ts server for my clan (XHC). WOuld we be allowed to use this server?

Regardless of the previous questions, this is an EXCELLENT idea. I and XHC + many other people have been using ts for some time now. Great idea.

I'm not hosting it at home!
It would have a 100mbit connection.

I want to divide the teamspeak by language. So every nation would have their own channel admins.

But to handle this a fair way, I need 1 or 2 global coadmins to maintain the teamspeak.

I imagine that if (XHC) + friends had a dedicated channel you would gain prolly 5 American/English Admins Plus several global admins. (keep in mind this is all speculative atm, considering that I'm still paying for a server for xhc, so whether we switched or not is up for debate).

I myself am quite experienced with TS (I should be lol, been running my own server for years) as well.

oh crap, sorry for double post.

The biggest pain in the ass is gonna be registrations, however, I believe setting up for (U) to self register would be easy enough.

ding!, more fun for everyone...

the guys on Forbodings server, are all good guys, and I'd trust any of them with server admin rights...

they've given me server admin rights, but I've not had any reason to use them at all except to send text messages to the entire channel...

I do know how to admin, and I can be very fair, and I'm very lenient... but I dunno, its up to you..

we're definately gonna need a list of rules....
(besides the obvious, no personal attacks, no spam, no being annoying..)

what about cursing though? I know we all have our slips and say "shit damn, bla bla bla" every now and then.... but what do you think? seperate channel where anythin goes? or just no cursing for the little kids and ppl at work and stuff what so ever??... any other rules?

but yeah, forbodings clan and the rest of us there, we'd help when were on.. :P

just my .02$

Lathan

You *bought* a teamspeak server? O_O

TS is free in terms of $$$ and cheap in terms of bandwidth and pretty much anyone can host it... why buy a server?

<---- curious

because when 15-20+ people get on in seperate channels it takes a toll on my bandwidth and processor time.

PLus, it only cost me 10 bucks a month for 50 slots which is chump change.

That's true.

I'm a bit carefull with giving server admin rights atm.

I only need 1 SA and 2CAs for american english to provide a "round the hour" channel support.

CA's would be able to kick guys from the server if it's needed for some really nerv-killing people. So the CA right is a bit better than the standard CA one.

I want to divide the channels by country, but I will also include an international channel for all.

Forbodings TS server FTW!

This sounds like a really good idea and would hopefully bring the community closer together.

Hey, I'd like to be a UK admin for you server, if possible. I obviously live in the UK and speak fluent English.

I have a star ranking in the lobby and know a lot of the UK players already.

Thanks, Aun.

I think the TS idea is great, being able to talk really adds a new perspective on the game, and it keeps players hooked for longer. I have several freinds on different games that i still keep in touch with on TS.

I have never admined, and you already said that the US was full. But I do do know when someone is being a jerk and they need kicked. I'm volunteering, if ya need me, tell me.
