New Router=Can't Connect to Games =(

I just got myself a new wireless router so I could be lazy and play spring from my couch while watching TV... only now I can't connect to games. While this allows me to pay more attention to the TV that wasn't my original purpose of buying the router. I've tried port forwarding and that doesn't seem to help. Any advice on how to enjoy the pleasures of spring over a wireless connection would be grand.

Game uses port 8452 UDP by default, which can be changed in the lobby. If you are behind a router, and are having problems hosting, try forwarding the correct port and also make sure the firewall is not blocking it.

If all else fails, turn on DMZ and run a software firewall.

Well, port forwarding didn't work. I didn't try just DMZ'ing it because that's just silly. I'm utterly lost as to why I can't connect through this router.
