Hi, I have been reading the forum for a while, but this is my first post... anyway... I have been playing spring for a small while, things have been going smoothly untill now I've ran in to a problem:

Spring won't start anymore, if I launch the spring lobby I get an error message External exception E06D7363 and a flood of errormessages (See screenie) and if I try to start the Spring SP I get a nother kind of error (See the other screenie), Also Spring.exe wont star either. I have tried to install the newest version of spring on to my comp (Didn't unistall it first), but before that I patched it before that to the newest version. And before that I had a smaller problem, Spring SP didn't load any of my mods, it did before, before any of the problems...

So to cut everything short: No nothing will start anymore... Any ideas?

(I didn't find another topic about this, sorry if I missed it)

Im not a coder but i have had a similar problem and know a solution.
I see by the second screen shot that you are trying to use SpringSP.

Spring SP changes somthing in spring and makes it unables to sync(me)
in your case it wont allow you to start spring. Do not use SpringSP.

Solution:
UnInstall Spring, then go into C\:->Programfiles->TASpring and delet everything exept Maps and Mods folders.

If you managed to play ANY maps on SpringSP you sould go into TAspring-> Maps-> Paths And Delete any path files of the maps you have played with SpringSP to avoid sync errors when you get Spring running.

Then Reinstall and it should work.

Note: if you want to have off line game just download the LAN lobby server and change server address to local host

The problem happened again, External Exception E06D7363 then pop up error message: access violation 00574925, and I don't even have Spring SP this time, any ideas on what is causing this? :(

Time to reinstall, again... :?

:!: Edit: Reinstalling it didin't work, the same thing keeps happening...

When is it Crashing? (Lobby start, match start ext.)
Did you add anything new?
Can it start with only one map in the maps folder and one mod?(try Mars and XTA they seem the most stable)
Have you tried clearing the registry for spring? (it can be found in the options tab)
Anything note worthy that I missed?
Edit: Did you turn of shadows.
NOTE: Many times I have had corrupted installers and have had to re-download them, mainly happens with bittorrent.

I managed to fix the problem, Spring crashed any time I started the lobby, couldn't even start spring.exe. I reinstalled spring (yet again), deleted the paths (once more). It seemed to work after that. I can't remember if I deleted some ufo files from AATA before it started working.

After that evertyhing seemed to work, I could start the lobby etc. but when joining a game, it showed in a XTA game (Only joined on game, that one, after things started working) that I could choose from the side USA and Germany. I had to delete some files from the gamedata directory, I had dumped som AATA files there. I could have also first then deleted the AATA mod files, not when the crash bug occurred.

I don't know for sure if these two insidents were related somehow, probably were, the .ufo and other files mods files were what probably messed things up, because of me duping them in to the wrong place, the mod/gamedata folders.

So it might have been me for messing somehow up with AATA, or something else, but everything seems to be fixed now...

Do you have any proof that SpringSP is corrupting files? I really doubt that SpringSP is messing up files and making sping unplayable because the only files it actualy modifies are replays and script.txt. If you are sure SpringSP is corrupting spring could you please send me a bug report with some info so I can fix it.

Thanks,
