In this contest you need to try to get as good
metal income (ie. +140M) as you can in
20 minutes on the map
Altored Divide. With mod
AA 1.44 !
Starting resources:
1000M/1000E, max units 500.
You can build 7 metal extractors as how they are exactly in my replay. (you can also replace them with moho mexes if you want). You cant use thermal vents.
You need to start from the same position as in my replay. No cheats and single player game, as in my replay...
My replay (new, because of version 3b):
http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=1216167
Final result, about +140M in 20mins. I think its possible to get max +200M in that time.
Lets see what you guys can do :)
Here is the screenshot from my (new) replay:
Use the savefile.com for uploading replays:

I didn't realise what you were saying and my first thought was "Oh my gosh, how did you make a 20min demo that takes up 140 megs?"
How do you tell how much metal you produced?

No, we are talking about
metal production, not megabytes :P
Share the demo with us to show what was the final metal production in the last moment (20:00).

Okay, i did remember and i got 151, I could have easily got more by simply turning on a shitload of MMMs when i had full E, but that'd be cheating, 151 was what i got with the MM AI...
I guess con vehs do need a res nerf!

Not really. There slow, Expensive, and also have the habit of wasting your factories time. If you'd had to do taht while someone sent peewees at you, I doubt taht you'd of got more than 50.

I suck at Spring; I only got +113 at 20 minutes.
I used adv solars and metal makers to push me until I could get an advanced vehicle factory, then started spamming metal generators as fast as possible. All the while building con and adv con vehicles...

can some1 post a demo of building +120 metal income as described in this thread for 0.70b3?
my endresult, even with Arm, is rediciously low. must be remedied :)

replays seem to be broken with 0.7b1/2/3, you need to host a replay rather than simply play it back as we used todo.
