ok i kinda got banned for flooding
i had no idea that was possible or at what limit, i was sending a pm to journier with the contents of an encoded text file from a program that i made and got autobanned >_< im sorry for screwing up the server and wont do it again T_T please unban me
if you need my ip address you will need to send me a message asking me for it, thanks in advanced

Actually, He was sendning something to someone using the Chatroom thing which only contians you and him. As he's copying and pasting a large text document, it could quite easily be mistaken for flooding by a bot.

lol wow, i dont think caydr even read the original post.
he sent me his program coding and then he got banned 4 seconds later or so, (edit) i didnt know he was banned till i myself was banned :)
we were in essence spamming noone but ourselves.
I was on the ban list also :) luckily, i have 56k , 56k for the win, no static ip.

betalord if you read this please limit the size of the text message that you can send to something reasonable so ppl like me dont get banned by mistake
when i got banned 10 secs later someone else got banned for the same thing T_T lucky he has 56k

Caydr, the flooding autobans are there to protect the client server, not #main. You can easily spam #main without overflowing client, but if you just open up a private channel and wollop the hell out of it with copypasting stuff you can clog client's bandwidth pretty fast. That's why it autobans for flooding, not because flooders must by extention be spamming.
