Spring RTS Engine

Yes it exists, im getting it all the time nowadays. I can no longer alt tab out of games or else it crashes for me, and its very annoying when I forget I can t do it anymore and accidently exit out of the game. Fix this for real please.

same here, yesterday just wanted to check if its com death game real qucik (less than 2 sec) and spring closed.

I get this bug on ~80% of games. Sometimes it works well though ( i check this when near end or if i observe)

LOrDo: Can you send a crashreport? It would help because I have currently no way to replicate it.

i can help (as an IT expert) if u tell me how. I can reproduce it every game.

IMO it would actually be very odd if it doesn't happen too anyone.
Spring doesn't crash, it justs closes. If there is any log file being made, inform us. (this bug must be fixed asap)

I was just hoping for you to get the crashreport dialog, but unfortunately you don't.

Alt-tabbing works fine for me and betalord though, but for me the task switching takes longer than other apps though.

Does is happen when you start up spring in single player?

no, just when i play multiplayer game. In single player i can be tabed out all day.

Looks like spring stop sending "sync packets" to other players when we alttab. MAybe thats why it closes. I cant tell more or be sure cause there is no debug file

I've had it crash in single player with EmptyAI.

Hmm indeed, in single player or replays it is save to alt-tab. Good you guys mentioned ^.^

I actualy have a very very worse problem.

When I alt tab my system frezes and i am forced to manual shudown.

And It 'removes' my internal modem as far as my computer is concerned i have spent hours with tec support trying to fix this problem to no avial. the only solution that works is to ReInstall my labtop to factory spec.

I very mutch enjoy TA:spring but it is simply not worth haveing to reinstall my computer for the 8th time i simply give up i dont understand why TA:Spring kills my dileup modem. TA:S is the ONLY think that has ever caused this problem even before the 0.70 hell you have inflicted upon me.
\ TA:S had done the twice before but i could prevent it by avoiding using any other programs and making sure that my modem was not dileing while TAS was running

When I ALT-TAB with latest verson, the game closes down, no message or anything it just closes

i have no probs with alt-tabbing in this version, the only slight annoyance- if i have other stuff open in the background, i have to then minimise everything to get spring to show up again

never had it crash to alt tabbing

On my comp Spring does not exit when its alt-tabbed for 5 seconds, it just starts to work extremely slowly (less than 1 frame per 3 sec), and i must disconnect.
