Metal Makers Continuously Switching ON/OFF Bug

Hey All,

New here. And TA lover obviously......

Running the latest XTA build 9.75 against the Spring Engine 103.

Everything is working out wonderfully well, but the metal makers (both basic and advanced) keep switching on and off like a pendulum with this error message.

“COB units vars are deprecated”

It really sucks because they are important for maps with scarce metal.

I tried a LUA widget to hard set this called my metal maker but it failed to address the problem.

I’ll add a screenshot of the bug with the actual unit number.

I’m thinking I need to edit a file with the COB but have no idea how.

In Balanced Annihilation there is a widget that automatically turns metal makers on/off depending on whether you have enough energy to convert. I don't know what it's called or if XTA has this widget, but it might be worth checking for.
I don't personally know anything about unit scripts, so I can't help there.

Full logs can be found in the infolog.txt file in your data directory.

Sounds like that version of XTA was not meant to run on that version of the engine. Those functions were deprecated in 102.0 so I suggest trying 101.0 if you can find it.

btw you can do /screenshot to save a screenshot.
