Singleplayer Menu?

Hey first off, TaSpring is a great game so my congrats to the programmers for the effort.

I was just wondering if any of the programmers will ever consider a singleplayer menu screen? - Rather than the default black screen with the basic options that can only be selected using the arrow keys... I myself have the misfortune of still running on 56k, :? and a menu screen implemented for singleplayer spring, (Like the TASClient menu) would be a nice touch.

The game at the moment is superb especially since the 0.70b2 update, but I can only ever play as the ARM and never the CORE and there are also no editable options for the AI, map and choosing mods etc in singleplayer. Is it ever possible it implement a singleplayer menu for the deprived 56k users? (I├óÔé¼Ôäóm prob the only 56k├óÔé¼Ôäór on this forum but anyway)

Cheers

Short Answer, it is already plannned for the new gui to include a proper single player menu...

Otherwise, SpringSP will help you create skimish games...

or you can get it with NTAI distributions:

http://www.darkstars.co.uk/index.php?na ... ic&p=17#17
(YOU ARE MUCH BETTER OFF GETTING THE ONE WITH NTAI AS IT HAS A PROPER INSTALLER... and NTAI just freaker rushed me... and did the whole "running around avoiding my commander and then leaving when I managed to build some peewees"... and then it combombed me and took out my entire base)

Alternatively, if you are using the random enemies script you can use .cheat .give corcom to get to play with core... or manually edit a start script (script.txt that is generated when you start a battle with TASClient... just edit it rename is, and drag and drop over spring.exe)

I'm not sure if you can trigger the random enemies thing with scripts however....
