Spring freezes/crashes when loading on my laptop in .70b2

Hey all!
In the latest update (0.70) a problem manifested itself: I can no longer run spring on my laptop, works fine on my main comp. Since i have all my mod dev files and shit on the laptop thats kind of a drag, I hope there is a way to fix this. Basically the mod hangs on Loading Units / weapons, doesnt lock up the computer, just goes to 0% activity and sits there. You can alt-tab out and shut it down via the task manager just fine, though. Are there any tech info you need?
My laptop is a:
Fujitsu-Siemens Amilio M1437G
1,7Ghz Intel M processor
Radeon x700 128mb
1024mb RAM
Windows xp home :/
Also, it has a 15,4" display in a "widescreen" configuration, perhaps its a display problem relating to that? Spring atleast refused to run in a differant aspect ratio, perhaps that could be fixed also in another version?
Hope you can fix this, I'm a big fan of spring!
Thanks
