Spring RTS Engine

Since I first downloaded Spring (version 7b1), I've had this little problem. I'm running XP Professional for reference. Whenever I play a game then exit, the Spring.exe continues to run in my process list with the label "running". This prevents me from loading into a new game unless I "ctrl-alt-delete" and manually terminate the process.

I've even tried double clicking on the process which would normally pull the program to the forefront, but nothing happens. Is it a glitch with Spring, or Windows? I don't have this problem with any other program.
