Suddenly stops working?

Suddenly Spring stopped working today. It was the same error as the one reported in the following thread: here. However, yesterday it had been working perfectly. This happened to me with a previous Windows installation, too, some time last year or the year before (not sure when, exactly).

Reinstalling Spring did not solve the issue. I finally manged to solve it by uninstalling Spring, purging every trace of it from the Windows registry, and then reinstalling. I still don't know exactly what caused this in the first place, though. Any thoughts on this?

True, but the error message I received is the same. Well, the address given was 0x00000096, but otherwise the error message was exactly the same.

It's a standard windows error format so that 0x number being different is REALLY important, it means it's a completely different error.

So now that we have the acctual error message someone can answer... personally, I've only seen dead crahes and the memory could not be "read" errors... so my posts only serve to help other people help you more effectively.

to me it looks like a memory hex address. Did you just add a new stick of ram? Are you getting random restarts someimtes? Anything like that?

It's possible that it's a bad stick of ram?
