--{ New Map }----{ Green Comet V3. And a Basic Version }--

Yes it's another remake of the great Comet Catcher, but this time with a lot of changes.
I didn't thought about a story, but suddenly there is a lovely atmosphere and there is decent gravity, which allowed plants to develop etc. Also the ground is a bit softer now and some geo's are added.
Also the remains of a previous conflict are still around which you can use for your cause.
The map is 90 degrees rotated so you might feel a bit disorientated at first. And in 2v2 it should be played left vs right now. So no team has the " factoryexit" advantage.
Well what else to say... Go download it and enjoy it

V2 is out which fixed the fog issue
V3 is out and fixed the texture error

the screens just look great. since comet cather remake is one of my favourite maps i'll definetly try out that map

Isn't it a bit of a waste of time, we've already got two textures for the one heightmap, do we really need a third? I really think you should have just made a new map with craters and stuff.

No, this one has also entirely different gameplay
but it seems i introduced a texture error..
perhaps i should do a V3 :S

Aside texture problems, this maps seems to have great gameplay, because of the wreckage and the possibility to resurrect it.
Its the first map with those "relics" of other battles.
There are even some gimps around!
and (havent actually playet the map) there is a golliath at the middle next to the hlts?
the only downside.. .its plain. you could try to add soft height changes for the flat part.

hm.. Appleville? divided shores? just cheked and they have not wreckages of actual units, nor any wreackage at all.
Maybe there was ota versions? never seen or remember.
As for being the firts.. well i know i lie, there was a map with four islands that had plenty of wreckage on each island... ( just checked, scrap metal, used to crash spring in last version), that was the first one that had wreckages iirc.
Still, by looking at it, i like this map.
edit: i see, i had v1 & 2, was too lazy to check.

i have been playing your map for some time now (using it for ai testing) and i think the green textures look great - it's one of my favourite maps, great work!
