game exits when others try to connect

We've tried hosting from each of our houses, and each time, the people behind that particular router can connect but everyone else either times out or the game just kicks them out. any ideas why this might be happening?

You should forward the correct port on your router for people from internet to join your game (you shouldn't use nat traversing with it)

i already had the ports forwarded, it's doin strange things though, some people it just shuts the game down, and others just time out while trying to connect once the map loads. if anyone has run across this happening i'd be greatly appreciative of some help
