Penny Arcade Forums

Just made a big post about Spring over there, initial response looks good. Little bit of free publicity :P

I included a link in my post over there to here as well.

The Something Awful forums paid us a visit not long ago from a post in the Games forum - had about 60 people join...at least 25ish are still in the game (that was a large part of the reason for some many passworded games 1-2 weeks ago).

^_^ Cookies! You called 0.29a one fo the most popular. Admittedly I'm rather embarassed by that version with the freak error with the mex raiding.

Completely FREE -- While in previous releases, it was reqired that you already have Total Annihilation, Battle Tactics, & Core Contingecy to play, now those model and sound resources are included with the Spring download.

Legally, you still have to own a copy, I think.
And Spring never read data from the CD or a TA directory, IIRC.

Anyway, it's always nice to see Spring growing like this :-)

What is the current curse on crosslinking forums?

there is a guy that says last time he played, spring crashed all the time and was hard to find games (he forgot that the client was very unstable too), that was completelly right for the first releases.

Its impressive how that is completelly changed now.

question, what is those forums about?

Well they're about pretty much anything. http://www.penny-arcade.com/forums/ is the root, and where I posted it, G&T (or Games & Technology) is about just that. But as a whole, those particular forums are a community for fans of the Penny Arcade webcomic at http://www.penny-arcade.com ;)
