XTA v0.66 Pimped Edition V3

This "Pimped" edition features evolva models and models made by Sinclaire. Also all buildpics were replaced by Cadyr's buildpic and the missing ones were made by NOiZE.

Owh and i stole aGorm's logo.

Also a new explo.bmp was added for cool explosions.

The internals should also be cleaned out. XTA SE is a freaking *mess* inside...

IIRC Evolva models didnt work well with XTA, did you go though and edit the models so stuff had the correct firing points again?

Fbi files are tidy now

and the download tdfs are erased and only sidedata.tdf is being used

i didn't check if the firepoints were wrong.... but i don't really see why they should be bad?

There are also a ton of useless files inside of XTA - the model for the ARMSS (a Sea Serpant O_o) being one example.

Meh, neat idea, but not worth downloading yet. If you fix the firing points and whatnot (the evolva models probably didn't have the same model parts as the original .3dos <_<) I'd say it should be considered for inclusion in the download of the next update. After all, everyone likes pretty shiny things that go boom.

firing points are crap... check the arm flash :wink: and bulldog... luger too

the bulldog's flare1 and flare2 orients (how ever this is typed) are CRAP

maybe the word was orgin :P

In XTA, some model size have been changed. Some evolva units will need to be enlarged, maybe some other shrinked, to keep the XTA size. And for unclear reason, the core warlord weapon were double-switched around. That's only from the top of my head, but if you haven't touched the model some stuff will be wrong.


And I wish I had a better graphic card.

i dont like evolva models.

good on the cleanage and optimization.

this could be merged partially with the current branch if xta developers find use.

they are nice models! i didn't know the firepoint's where wrong...but can u blame me? playing NoiZe *kind* of distracts u (wsl in 20 odd secs! omgzor!)

Or even merely glance at the first post pictures, only XTA berthas are that big, only evolva bertha look like that!

I remember the SY were asking for this (the better looking evolva model refitted for Spring) a long time ago, hopefully you'll get your change included into the default XTA !

What happened to the that thread about remodeling the units for xta, and supposed coordinator needed for that?

its not that its really ugly, not not worthy, but the other was more desirable.

(that bertha looks sweeter).

MOnG try the damn mod ffs...u seen a overhead of the bertha and already decided its no good...well i got news for you these models are WAY better thean the xta ones (with some weird ones such as Zeus admittedly) but overall still pwns xta se

was supposed to mean something like "Its not like evolva sucks, but i rather the remodeling".

and Min3mat, actually i liked the evolva bertha!.

I have played with the evolva units in shiny ta, (ota mod is broken dont aske where cant remeber), and its impressive to say the least.

again, remodelling is better solution (but unexistent so long) as models could get into s3o format, and be higher poly, as evolva was made for TA, not Spring :)

also, xta has its own modders...
