Ghosted Buildings hardcoded?

I tried turning off ghosted buildings for a few games and so far they are always there even with the feature turned off. I kinda like to do it the old fashioned ota way.

I like to use the ta demo recorder functions so I wanna draw more and outline things.

Not sure if this has been reported before, but I haven't found anything on this. Hope it didn't slip under the radar (ho ho ho, no ta pun intended)

Not to bring up the whole ghosted buildings debate*cough*flame war*cough*, but it is a little pointless to tag and mark where the enemy's buildings are when ghosted buildings is on and you can see them plainly yourself. I prefer playing without ghosted buildings on, and every time I host I uncheck that box, but now that you mention it, I think ghosted buildings stays on anyways.

Well, the ghosted buildings still remain even after you kill it with a long range weapon. It gets annoyingn when I still see a bunch of buildings up after a BB bombardment. Sure you can scout just to get rid of the dead ghosted buildings, but I just rather not have them at all.

This is how they're balanced. If you could see them die, the only reason to scout would be to see what unit they were producing. As it is now, they're a disincentive to scout often, but at least they only tell you *where* they are, nothing more.

But the checkbox to turn them off should work. I haven't tried it, myself.

Yes, this isn't a big problem. I do scout often, but I am just stubborn and I love the ota way of marking everything.

The downside with ghosted buildings is that it won't ghost a building unless you see it when its 100% complete. If not, it won't show ghosted. This is where good old marking comes into play.

I think this is beginning to turn back into the ghosted buildings debate. Why don't we just stick to "The Ghosted buildings feature is broken, please fix it"
