Sync Errors

Hey all, I'm loving TA Spring, but other players aren't loving it when I play thanks to some errors I'm getting. About 5 seconds after the game starts I will always start getting sync errors. It fills the chat for everyone, and says that I am getting sync errors, followed by a couple of alpha-numeric strings.

It never affects gameplay, it doesn't actually result in synchronization problems, and it doesn't cause lag, but it makes it so that no one can talk because the chat is so filled up with the sync errors. If there isn't a workaround, is there some way to just make it so the chat ignores the sync errors?

Thanks!

Try uninstalling Spring, deleting the whole Spring folder, and reinstalling it. Then go online and try to play a game on one of the supplied maps, with XTA. If the game stops having issues, then your fine. It was probably a bad mod/map you had. If the game is still having problems, then I dunno how o fix it. Some one else might though.

Yeah, I've done that already. Did a clean install of Spring, added AA, and got errors the first time I joined a game.

Remove AA. Ive had problems with new mods before. Reinstall again, and try a game without AA.

sync errors sometimes are due to huge lag or wrong map versions

I'm not getting any lag, and I know I have the right version. I also just did a clean install of Spring and I ge the same errors... but now its resulting in an actual sync problem about 30 minutes into each game.

It doesn't have to be laggy to cause sync errors.

Try hosting a game yourself with a max of like 4 ppl on XTA and see if you are getting sync errors with everyone else.

If not, it could have been that one host.

Also, don't use hacked .exe. Altaric's modded spring client is cool tho.

Connection is cable, CPU is 2.8 GHZ. I tried the hosting with 2 pepople on XTA, still got the errors. Not using a hacked .exe. Thanks for all the posts.

Something might be happening outside your computer then. If your behind a router, update it to the latest FW version.

If the ports aren't open already, open the ports for Spring.

Other things.... turn off windows FW if its on, cuz it sucks.

and umm....I'm running out of ideas.
