It is silent - what's being developed for Spring right now ?

Hi Spring gamers!
It seems to me that the community is very silent for the moment.
Is it just the Christmas holidays that is causing this or is there another reason ? Are people too satisfied with Spring as it is for the moment and just busy gaming or.....
Tell people what you are working on right now - that could be very interesting and encouraging to hear - be specific whether that is a new map, new functionality, GUI etc.

Well, I think they're currently putting a lot of effort in the Linux port.
Also, I remember something about SJ working on a new water renderer, and of course, Jouninkomiko is working on the new new gui.

I know AF's is doing some exams, and thens goona do a masive upgarde on his AI. Zaphods got a new terrain rendering system he's working on. Mappers are still mapping (well, all but this one it seems

) and modders are modding. Were all still here!

Aye. January exams are annoying. Same reason I'm not continuing my attempt to botch the code for spring (Read: Trying to work it all out)

I'm working on a doomsday, to-be-ph33red map right now... plus another minor AA patch which will be released sometime within a week or two (as the changes so far aren't very significant)... also G/E/M is sorta-kinda on hold while I try my hand at mapping. I'd like to finish this one I'm working on right now then concentrate on G/E/M for the forseeable future. I'm also working on a secret project.

Currently: no, we have to find someone willing to write the resync stuff...

Yes

If it means recompiling all the maps again, you better realize you're treading on thin ice boy.....

Does this mean we should flood the Maps forum with every (intelligent) request that we can possibly imagine while there is still time to work it in?

I'll make a thread about it soon, with demo... However it is still some time away, I still need to do a lot of things for it...
It's the most complex usage of OpenGL extensions I have done so far...
it will run at lowend integrated graphics that spring supports now, but also do bumpmapping on the highend hardware.

bumpmapping !!!! ON MAPS !!!... thats awesomness !

So... a heightmap... with bumpmap. Ehhh... huh? Isn't that kind of redundant? What's really needed is higher resolution heightmaps.
