Imo better to wait and see what the future holds than trying to pigeonhole either one as part of the other.

I'd like to hear more feature requests although I'd only do stuff I'm interested in as I don't want bounty money.

It isn't a feature request then. If you only doing things that your interested in, then you don't need that.

Rubbish, its quite possible to be interested by other peoples ideas without being paid for it.

Then it isn't "feature request" it's "feature suggestion". If you want to rename that section to accurately reflect the usage, then by all means do it. Words have meaning, and certainly what you describing is anything but a request.

Words have meaning, and certainly what you describing is anything but a request.
If you must (incorrectly, in my view) take issue with the literal meaning of 'to request', you could conjugate your own verbs correctly whilst doing so.

This isn't about grammar correctness(nice Tu quoque btw), this about conveying a message here. Hence why the TC is confused.

Make feature requests and there's a chance, rather than certainty, that they'll be picked up - I thought this was a given. Only in the case of bounties does the person making the offer have any leverage over what'll be done.

I don't understand your point, requests can be denied.

Then it's a mere suggestion and not request.
You know what? Forget it.
