i guess the instructions here are very outdated:

can someone please update them? Where can i find up-to-date instructions?

at least two people asked in #newbies about problems when following these instructions (i.e. menu is empty).

Yup.

The best thing is if people join our autohost named "s1944: stable" and let the lobby grab things for them.

The official website is highly outdated and long ago marked for scrapping and that news page concerns 1.7, we are at 2.0 now.
Hokomoko and nemo were working on a new one on github, but seems they took a break from things for some time, atleast thats what i gathered.

I had wanted to do a whole package with lobby, games, maps and game files for windows users that we could put up, but since nobody had access to an up to date windows machine this could not even happen.
I had tried to get people to use weblobby and just join the autohost, on our moddb page, but that hadnt done it apparently.

can you please at least remove the invalid instructions with a link to http://spring1944.net/?p=457 ?

I dont have access to the main s44 side, but il mention this to the devs.

I was working on a static page for S44 (wordpress is really overkill for us), should pick that thread back up.
