I often get this message when typing the !help command to a spads autohost:

[14:26:47] *** [elderberry]Autohost is trying to spam you (received more than 100 messages in less than 30 seconds), to reset the spam protection for this user, type "/unblock [elderberry]Autohost", to disable/enable the spam protection for this user, type "/spamprotection [elderberry]Autohost" ***

Even if I type that /unblock command, I still get the same warning message next time. Users needs to be able to access the command line of autohosts, isn't this why they have the bot flag. Is it a problem that autohosts are spamming people? In this case I specifically asked for information, so I don't think it should be considered spamming.

Not exactly - iirc botflags relate to messages between the server and the autohost, and you are receiving a warning about the flow of messages to you. A SPADS host without a botflag will typically be kicked if it triggers the server level spam filter. I guess the botflag is working correctly and that this message is coming from "your" spam filter, or from the spamfilter of the channel you're seeing it in.

As it says, typing /unblock resets the filter - it does not remove it. To disable "your" spam protection, by which I mean the default filter that iirc everyone has there unless they manually remove it, try doing as it says.

I guess the cause is that your autohost is sending a huge number of of messages with !help. I think (not able to check atm) that most autohosts would send far less than 100 chatlines when asked for !help.

It's a standard spads autohost with a few plugins added, so because of those command the list goes over 100 lines I assume. But anyway, I tried doing what it says and it doesn't work: http://pastebin.com/3Rwe1JNM

Maybe the cap could be 200 lines?

please use a lobby client which is supported... this message doesn't show up at least in springlobby.
