I don't see what's wrong

Spring has branding and official logos. That is not an official logo. Branding matters.

don't we have a .svg / vector based file with current logo?

afaik the .svg is used in other parts, too. if not, it should be removed.

I demand less Forb worrying about Logos, more Forb releasing maps..

That would be version 2 of the official logo, which was replaced by v3 ( v2 was blurry and horrible ). The download on my blog should have a PSD in it you can use. Feel free to tone down the glassy shade parts significantly ( don't remove them, but maybe reduce by 70-80%, they're too much right now, you should be able to see them if you look for them, but otherwise go unnoticed )

Goto be crisp, thanks to math, in case in a thousand years somebody is in dire need of a spring logo.
