New map. Channel Pass

I used a modified version of the heightmap from "The Pass" to come up with
a water version, the maps not quite finished yet, its terrain typed, and the entire texture is tiled so the download will be about 3.1mb which is pretty low for a 24 x 24 map.
Screens below, the first one is for people with graphics cards that don`t support reflective water and shadows.

dude that looks really good

only comment I have is, it looks linda liek either a desert or a moon map at night.

Are the trees supposed to be there?

Regardless, it looks really cool dude, Good work!

btw personal preferance, I would kill the terrain type. But regardless, very wow.

Hmmm, I am split down the middle as far as the trees are concerned, the skybox has an atmosphere so I guess its more a desert map, It originally had a green texture for the islands but it looked like shit, tell ya what if the majority of people think the trees should go then go they will.

cacti would looks so cool :D

ya know I think the trees would look more in place if there were simply more of them

not a whole lot, just enough to make it commonplace. On the other hand I personally don't think it's that big of a deal myself. It still very nice looking.

I think burnt out trees would look better than cacti

Very true, the cubemap I used is also the maximum resolution supported by Cubemapgen, 1024 x 1024
