Multiple data dirs?

springDataDir (global setting)
Explicit name Spring data directory
Description Absolute path of the Spring directory containing maps, mods, base files...
Format / Allowed values Any writable directory
Default value %dataDir% (set during installation, examples: "/share/games/spring", "C:\Program files\Spring")
Is there a way to specify multiple datadirs? I was thinking of having most mods and maps locally, but also having one online folder from where it could read.

I'd like info on how other hosts manage maps, because my local maps folder includes a lot of maps that have never been put on plasmaserver.

I believe there are multiple ways of specifying data directories at engine level. The SPRING_DATADIR environment variable used by springDataDir SPADS setting is just one of them. Maybe you can use other ways to declare additional data directories (in spring settings configuration file for example)?

Also, concerning your question on IRC, in case of false positive you can disable smurf detection on a specific account using following command: "!chrank <playerName> account".

The case is the fact that my autohost is detected as my smurf, but since my main account already has higher rank it doesn't really matter. It's just the message shown when balancing "1 smurf found" that might cause people to wonder.

Hum I don't get it, the autohost can't be detected as a smurf during balancing, it's a spectator...

I don't know exactly how, but I think it's because the autohost has the same IP as my main (or had before) that it's detected as a smurf.

The message shown during balancing doesn't count spectators.

wherever you can specify a data-dir, you can actually specify multiple data-dirs. just separate them by ';' (windows) or ':' (linux).

You mean in spads? I tried that but it will only use the first dir.
