PMing problem

Some time ago I posted abaut Springfile registration issue on this forum and then one of the administrators (Abma) wanted to send me an PM with request to give him my email.
But then while browsing my inbox for a while I couldn't find a replay option.
I finnally found "Compose Message" finally though and this notification has greeted me:

"We are sorry, but you are not authorised to use this feature. You may have just registered here and may need to participate more to be able to use this feature. "

I mean... what? I have posted 8 posts already and yet I cannot make a PM? WHAT?
Why is this restriction even on? I suppose it prevents spamming but then if someone is dedicated enough to spam then that person can just make xxx number of spam posts and then spam PM's as well -.-
I found this restriction very annoying and would like to see it be at least tuned down to,... I don't know 5 posts to grant the right?
Please do something about this.

Uhm, are you sure you read it right?
It seems he's complaining about a different issue - the fact you can't PM people until you have made enough forum posts.
There should certainly be a limit in order to identify who's a bot, but 5PMs should be enough (what's the current limit?).
Additionally, I think you should be able to send messages to admins/mods without any posts if you need their assistance.

yes i read right (pm limit very likely got set trough failed test with "newly registered users" group: already disabled that last post)

and still the initially problem here is that springfiles registration doesn't work and for this a thread already exists: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&p=565566
