Shouldn't be happening unless you host locked rooms that startsWith("QuickMatch")

That shouldn't matter. I doubt smoth is using ZK's server.

I've had this happen to me too, while I was hosting locked rooms (that did not start with "QuickMatch").
I am not sure if the players who pm'ed me it were even concious that they had done it or typed anything, it could well have been automated.

That shouldn't matter. I doubt smoth is using ZK's server.
It's a client thing, not a server thing. ZKL sends !adduser when joining a locked room so that autohost whitelists the user with the given password. Then startscript is created and it tries to connect directly without joining battleroom. This is used to spectate on locked quickmatch games.
That it doesn't seem to check if host is 1) a Springie 2) a QM Springie is, i guess, a bug.
It's likely to stop mattering eventually though since zk left the server.

ZKL sends !adduser to the founder of any locked battle you try to join without checking if it's a quickmatch battle.

so because I run my game in from my pc and am running a locked match, for some reason the server is occasionally vectoring people to my room, locked or not?

Yes, (well, not the server, ZKL), but it seems this won't happen anymore (

)

It seems ZKL clients are sometimes sending you messages. Ignore until fixed or there are no ZKL clients left on official servers.

I am sad to see zk people leave our server. I think it is a bad decision but they are going to do what they feel is best. I have no right to say anything one way or another.

It's pretty bad, wasn't announced and also left us without nightwatch features (chat subscriptions) and whatever matchmaking Spring had.
This just makes me more convinced to always choose a standardized solution (uberserver) when possible...
Same thing with ZK missions. Screw that, I'll make sure we standardize something for Spring so we don't lose mission support if Licho decides engine should be forked too. (This is not to the exclusion of ZK ME, but rather with the aim of _specification_ to the greatest extent possible)
Oh ye, we also lost players and a bunch of devs.

Zero-K had engine devs ?
also they will be back. New Features on spring, and suddenly, reverse engine- dearing..
Hate to see them go though. Was nice while it blasted.
But yeah, all the niceness has proofed to be a dependancy on good will, and good wills have a tendency to break.
Good Luck Zero-k

I am not sure those players and devs have just suffered a critical existence failure.
