Is there a way to set a default state in the unitdef? Can't find anything in the wiki.

Probably not. Just write a small widget.

It's enough to just send a single command to change state when the unit is created. No need for a morp gadget...?

Oh I thought he was asking for a way to switch the unit from air to land based on a def tag that would allow a toggle between aircraft and say tank or something.

When you say land mode what do you mean? There is air hover which sets them to never land.

Hmm well a widget option should be simple enough. Strikes me as weird that there isn't a unitdef toggle for it though O_o
