PC Shuts down, and reboots after I leave a game

I started having this problem after I attached my new widescreen LCD monitor (Knowing this may be the problem).
The resolution this monitor puts out is 1680 x 1050. Obviously a strange resolution.
I would just like to know if there is a fix, or a workaround for this. I have tried changing native resolution to somthing more tipical (1600x1200).
Yet I still have the same problem. Finish a game, and my computer reboots.
Any help with this would be greatly appriciated.
