Such a simple idea... i'm amazed this has not been done before. I'm also amazed this was granted a patent since it really does nothing different from a normal pickup + dsp.
Am i missing something since to me it seems that the extra pickup for the bass is unnecessary? Why not just grab the signal from the standard pickups in parallel?
