Hi everyone,

I've got a site up with free music and soundscapes that you can use in commercial projects as well as noncommercial ones. It's all original...all my own stuff...all I ask is to be credited as indicated on my homepage.

http://soundimage.org/

I sincerely hope the site is helpful. Any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated.

All the best,
Eric

Checked out a few tracks (not developing anything right now, was just curious)... got a CDROM era vibe going on that I dig.

Pretty cool stuff.

Did you think of putting it anywhere where it could be more discoverable? E.g. Jamendo? ;)

Looks like a spam post. Why else would we have the link 2 times?

Well it's obviously an ad, but I think I'll let this slide as it was likely not made by a bot (since it hit the right subforum) and is very relevant and potentially useful to people. Also free (under CC by attribution only).

Link in body, Link in signature.

this forum has signatures disabled. The poster purposefully put the link 2 times.

Spam either by a person or a bot but ultimately spam.

Hi guys,

You have my word that I'm not a robot...lol.

And I'm currently on about 60 forums, the vast majority of which have embraced my posts. (I've been rejected by exactly 2.) The feedback I've received has been incredibly positive.

I apologize if the link to my site appearing twice sounded the bot alarm...it wasn't meant to.

I add new tracks on my site all the time so I update my post weekly...even more often when people have questions or want to share their feedback. I truly enjoy the interactive nature of forums and hope that I'll be allowed to participate on this one.

Thanks,
Eric

No worries. I already google searched to see if you posted on several others. FWIW it is nice to see you reply meaning you are not a hit an run guy but someone trying to legitimately self promote.

are you on newgrounds?

Yeah, there's definitely some retro-sounding stuff from different decades. I've had a lot of positive feedback from folks who like the '80s sounding stuff...usually folks developing sci-fi games.

Thanks for giving them a listen.

I don't really have a problem with self-promotion as long as it is something relevant and free.

Cheers and thanks for the links Eric, sound resources are very much needed in projects like the games for spring!

Are you also from Hungary by any chance?

I used two of your songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3g_DKVsXzE .
There might be better suited ones, and I could've mixed them better, but I'm no artist :P
