I really appreciate a 4v4 tournament!!

Unfortunately I have anti-nationalistic ideology, so I cannot participate.... as well as the 2/3 of the world that lives in Asia, south-pacific / down-under, which are not listed.

Since you have not yet suggested a format for the tourney, a couple of suggestions to try and make organization easier!

1) Countries shouldn't have to use the same 4 players in every match - and use the list above to keep track of players who were willing to play for their country.

2) Have a "league" tournament where every game played counts, but each pair of countries can only play once (maybe twice?). Score 2 for a win and 1 for a loss. Allow games to take place over e.g. 2 weeks.

I would be happy to offer a "prize", in the form of a special lua-generated hat for the winning teams commanders to wear for a few weeks after :) I suggest also you specify that the game get played on e.g. BlackHostHost6 or [ACE]Pirine, since these are of suitable size.

Good ideas - once more people sign up for their countries and we have at least 5 or 6 teams it'll be a round-robin tournament...with the top four teams advancing to the finals. Just waiting for the rosters to fill up before the specifics of hosts and whatnot.

And that hat would be awesome - more pressure to get this going !

The term is ambiguous since Scandinavia is a geographical term and not a political one.

That term serves to highlight my unfamiliarity with the region - From the top of my head I'm lumping in Norway Denmark Sweden Finland and Netherlands - I don't know how many players we have from those particular countries.

It's not a big deal, didn't want to sound as a smart as, people do understand those anyway. You can continue calling it team Scandinavia or team northern Europe.

How about a team North America and a team South America?

South America would make sense - but there are a lot of players from USA and Canada so I think they can safely be split and still have enough players each
