Spring RTS Engine

I wish to have a lasers rgbcolor paramater changed of individual units per player so each player has lasers with their own colors.
And i dont know how to do this.

not possible, except you switch weapons or render the laser yourself

Oh, well no biggie, but i guess its on for the engine wishlist then.
Rendering myself seems like quite and overkill, maybe a requesting callout would be suitable.
