BAR + dev engine - Fancy Selected Units does not work

The Fancy Selected Units widget does not draw anything with BAR and the latest Spring engine. I tested it because in ZK the Unit Shapes widget is not visible for some people and I heard that Fancy Selected Units uses a similar drawing technique.
This may be a general problem with the new SDL in latest spring. Maybe some combinations of blending and masking do not work on my hardware.
