It is, occasionally you can get them to appear if you click madly and hit "L" lots but generally just go by...

Just replace 9700 with 9200.

Yes, Spring has a bug where buttons do not render properly on a 9200. You cannot fix it. The only way around this is to get a new card. If you dont want a new card, then you will have to just memorise the keyboard shortcuts.

ANd you do want a new card, the 9200 is crap.

And of course BF2 and Quake 4 don't run on that card... you can't spend pennies on a graphics card that's barely better than onboard and expect it to play the newest games. Graphics cards are one of the areas you simply cannot skimp on as a gamer...

Or you can wait for somebody to fix the NewGUI which ahs buttons that work fine on a 9200

Sadly that might take a while.
Can anyone name the reason why the 9200 runs Spring bad?
Or is this just a The-World-Had-Been-Created,-Don''t-Ask sort of thing.

Also try to step back to the driver shipped with the card, instead of the newest. I had some problems with my Radeon X800Pro what was solved this way.

I don't know exactly, but my guess is it has something to do with scaling the font, cause when the wrods occationally do show up, they are scales to such a degree that they are practically illegible anyways...

Ok, I get it.
It's a The-World-Had-Been-Created,-Don''t-Ask sort of thing. Blame ATI.
heh, 9200 is outdated anyway. Buy a nVidia 6200, they arn't very costy anymore.

God forbid you buy a card that doesn't end with the 200 prefix so you can acctually PLAY games

zzz, shut up about buying a new card, not everyone got ├óÔÇÜ┬¼200

btw, i can play q4 but need a codeline to fix that green bug, i can play BF2 but need to set my card to X4 (normal X8)

and i can play TA spring normal, its just, why still working with text and not with pict or flashy thingy's

hm... just rigth now..

can some pictures replace some of this text buttons?
(the ones that dont have a short cut).

like the buttons for buildings/units.

i almost know by memory all the layout of the buttons.

(its one for most units but different for commander AND lvl2 ligth gunship, as this ships seems to think it has a dgun... ).

as the gui release will take ages.. having the pictures on the buttons is not bad at all.

I used the 9200 with spring for a while, the only thing that didn't work was the buttons, but I learned thier positions by watching the mouse over. Besides that, the 9200 is a decent card, it kept me going for a long time before I finially decided to switch to a higher powered card.
