Q:What is topic rotation?
A: Use the wiki, young one: http://taspring.clan-sy.com/wiki/Monthly_Topic_Rotation

Yes, since pepole are so keen about writing about them why not compare who is the most important for the SY's to get cracking on.

Really, vote away. (apolegisis for the lame comments after it. couldt bare myself not to do it (^-^) )

Personaly, i either want the music system or the GUI. ASAP. or rather, now.

Oh, and the first one to say "MONTHLY TOPIC ROTATION", gets punched in the face.

I don't know if it was in the original plans for the new GUI, but mod makers really need the ability to customize the hell out of that thing. I think GUI issues are the number one feature style thing from the stupid list that needs to get fixed. After that I think rotatable buildings because it probably wouldn't be the most severe change ever, and then dynamic lighting. I'd like to see someone work on the BG music thing at some point too, but I don't see that as super high priority. If that gets done it needs to be done right, with proper game condition detection and everything.

I knew most people would vote for the GUI, which is sorely needed; but I just had to put one in for weather effects 8)

Am I hallucenating? 20 other people actually want the new GUI as much as I do?

Myself, something else I'd really like is a better error parser thing. Tells you the file and line on which there is an error.

I voted for the day/night and weather stuff which would look awesome I think... But it's true that the most important thing we currently need is a real GUI imho...

SwiftSpear saying something about the new gui
The new GUI is actually very customizable. Look at this CVS gui script for an example:

For what it's worth, I voted other.

I really think Spring needs heightmapped+unitpathed feature suppourt for bridges and higher-detail terrains, and my second choice would be serverside set damage and scale modifiers. (You forgot to add those. You shall be comspanked.)

I actually said raising and lowering terrain on will. Not only would I like to dig trenches for my kbots and redoubts for my tanks to sit behind, but depending on how the code works, this change wouldn't require much effort to implement...

Hmmph

The camera angle thing is mine, but I don't like grouping it with FPS mode. FPS is a toy - but the inability to use the rotateable camera mode usefully is a serious PITA.
