I was just thinking, there have been a ton of maps made for spring, and alot of us already have made several tiles by now... Maby there should be a way for spring mappers to share tiles and detex's with the rest of the comunity. I know from my limited mapping experiance that creating tiles in the first place can often be a time consuming practice, they are often hard to get just right. Maby if there were alot of them out there to look through we could make mapping easier for everyone, expecially new mappers trying to understand the tile system in the first place, or mappers that aren't previously PS or GIMP experts.
Maby we should get an FU texture and tile database up.

just use seamless tiling, and then fill the area with your custom made tile
it's not that hard..

Read posts before you make posts. I'm not asking how to tile, I'm suggesting we share tiles so that I don't have to custom make a tile in the first place. How many different types of grass can there possibly be?

I would be happy to upload the tiles I have, plus a few cube maps and some useful sets of textures. Sharing this stuff will make the mapping community stronger and more prolific me thinks

well, I'm not a real tile user, but if anyone would happen to have a good ~256x256 picture of ice like you would see covering a body of water (a frozen lake), I would be grateful to have it e-mailed to me, because I have a map in the conceptual stage that could use some ice. I actually also could use a colorless marble texture too, if it's not any work for anyone.
Sorry, I don't want to sound like a free-loader here, but I'm just not skilled in producing images and graphics
