You could have scaled it down a little. And gave a link to the original size. Good thing there is a zoom functin in most browsers.
It's verry pritty though. is it a ingame render?

If it is, it has been modified. That pic has 'Zoom Blur' all over it. Just like all of the AA screenshots.

The graphic design students at my school would have your ass on a platter in regard to your typographical skills. However, the render is neato.

It's a render from Max, you can tell because of the soft shadows. And my grammar kicks ass, Neuralize.

Caydr, stop spamming your single good model everywhere; it's getting annoying.

I have to agrea with dragon. Caydr, the model is nice but it is just one model it is begining to just be spam. I understand that it is a nice model and all but really all these huge pics are pointless because there is not enough detail to zoom in that close.

Other good models, if you don't recall http://taspring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewt ... c&start=80

it is still spam.

I know he has done other models the problem is that he is just cranking
out single object ships with no combat happening they may as well be
trees. Sure, they look nice but I do not want to imagine the poly count.

then there is the fact that the texturing is extremely generic it looks rushed.

Of course caydr could wait until he has something more to show.. like some of us:

Yes, but that mod has been around alot longer than GEM.

correct, and I have been relatively quiet.

I think that it will be a greater moment if I wait and let you guys see it in
it's finished splendor. Unless you frequent the eyecandy forum in TAU or
watch the profile on moddb you are likely to not see any of this.

The main reason is that alot of it is work in progress alot like caydr's mod
however, unlike caydr's mod this one requires animation scripts. Working
to the restraints of a set fiction and art. It is because of this that the
gundam mod will take longer. however, caydr's mod could get completed
in a few months. he should wait and then slam us with a huge update.
unless he is looking for feedback but these shots are just more closely
associated with showing off. even though I like what I see too much of a
good thing is bad.

I'll spam if I bloody well like... but if you're going to get all hot and bothered about it, I guess I could spam with a little more variety.

I dont think we'd mind seeing other ships.... but maybe just post them in your above post and bump them insted of starting a new topic... that or make an offical site for your mod and put the pics there! That way i can droll somewere thats not spring (that my boss is feed up of seeing me on)

no reason to get testy caydr, ya gotta chill out most of the time you just
get soo fired up.

Relax, we are just asking you to post more meaningfull pictures. I can
see very well it is a nice model but it is kinda old now that you have
spamed soo much with it. As site would be great though, that way people
could see all the ships and it actually see more worth looking at vs a
bunch of glamor shots that do nothing in the way of showing game play.

Lemme explain. Just the fact that this particular render has turrets is a major achievement - firstly they had to be modeled and placed, then scripted, then set up with arcs, then figured out why the hell two of them won't shoot even though there's no script or FBI errors (turns out to be some kind of exotic spring bug), next I had to get it ingame without the exporter randomly shifting objects around, then I had to make it so that it didn't make the main hull the size of your thumb. Now it's ingame and fully functional. That's from, untextured, incomplete model, no turrets, no script, no UV Mapping ability, no texture, and the exporter not only messing up most of the time but just plain not functioning.

Anyway, I don't mean to be "testy" :P If this was some massive forum, bustling with activity (referring to the art section), I'd have kept it to one topic probably. But hey, there's really not much going on, it's not as if I'm violating a commandment or something by spamming up something that I consider a pretty decent achievement :P

Maybe you're misinterpreting my posts as being angry or something... I'm really not. People seem to get that impression a lot because when I'm posting on a forum I usually just get right to the point - makes it sound like I'm pissed off sometimes I suppose. I'm really not.
