Spring RTS Engine

Hi there,

I dont know it this is the right place to ask, But ive tried this on
BA and Tech. So guess here would be fine!

I the original Total Annihlation you could set the formation of the aircrafts when they attacked so they dont fly in like i packed ball and when one explodes all of them explode?

i remeber that it was one button and 3 types of formation. is there a lua for that or iam stupid that cant find it?

You must be getting confused with another game. There were no planes formation in Total Annihilation.

The only way to prevent them to merge into a packed ball was to keep clicking in rhythm.

The one button with three states was set how far would units pursue enemies when attacked.

En route to the target draw right mouse move orders in any formation you like at several parts along the route. They will follow those move orders.

No iam pretty sure this existed.

Because there is a far superior widget that takes care of this called custom formations.

Just in case you haven't already worked it out - to use customformations what you need to do is
1) select a group of units
2) hold right mouse and draw out first set of waypoints
3) release right mouse, hold right mouse and draw out second set of waypoints
4) etc etc

ok meybe it was an old Spring game or whatever then..


What kind of widgets?

i know about rightclick and make an formation that way, but in the end they still go in like a little ball and explodes
