Muckl you got a nickname right there, did you make an effort to asnwer here in this topic on for registering ?
SpringRTS.com est bien en Anglais n'est-ce pas ?

I will see if French is really the problem on February regards to what I'm trying to implement for next month.

i just dislike the lazyness of most frenchies when they just dont talk in english if u want to ask or talk a bit - that was my impression i got in lyon, nizza and some other villages i was a day

this stuff here just reminds me on that ignorant "to fine to speak a liddle english" behave

im sorry when i pissed on your knee :)

I have to agree with muckl, if you want to host a popular international tournament then the lingua franca (pun intended) should be English.

As muckl pointed out, you already established a precedent when you wrote French in the opening post. Later on in the chat rooms there will be more when french start to speak with french, leaving the rest to babelfish what is going on. That leaves people feeling excluded, even when unintentional.

But my main gripe with this tournament is that it's no fun to have games spread out over a whole week.

Going a bit offtopic, but I've recently been on a skiing trip in France and people there understood English, but insisted to answer in French.
E.g. : "Do you have prepaid phone SIM cards?", "Carte de telephone? Non"

My next goal is to talk in Serbian to any tourist from France that comes here, even if they attempt to speak perfect English.

+1 with the english default writing: you need to spend time to look for translation.

Also, something a bit more biased: I tend to get bored after such a long post and DONT read till the end. Other might feel the same.
-> Have a look at flopflop post to give you an idea.
