Spring RTS Engine

Not shout if this is in the right spot if it is not move it to the right one




Is it possable to have it where when a player clicks a unit and hits "Page up" you go into a tracking short of mode but the mouse pointer turns into a Target? and you click left to fire main weapon right to fire alt weapon?

Best to describe with other games: You basically want something like return fire?


And im pretty sure we had that allready once..

Spring already has an "FPS" camera mode, if thats what you're looking for.

I think he wants something aking to a "diablo" mode with tanks..
You drive it with keys.. or via commands and shoot via mouseclick..

I coded such a gamemode for KP:

To try it online:
[list][*]Download "Kernel Panic" for "Spring RTS"
[*]With your favorite lobby, host a game of Kernel Panic
[*]Go in the mod options tab
[*]Find the section labelled "Heroes of Mainframe / Defense of the ENIACs"
[*]Tick "Play the Hero, not the General"
[*]Also tick "Pre-placed Minifacs"
[*]Start the game
[*]Move with arrows keys, Aim with mouse, Shoot with left mouse button[/list]

To try it offline:
[list][*]Download "Kernel Panic" for "Spring RTS"
[*]Make sure to also get all the KP maps
[*]Run Spring.exe directly, without using a lobby
[*]In Spring's menu, pick the mod Kernel Panic, any map, and sandbox
[*]In Kernel Panic's menu, click Skirmish, then Heroic, then Run!
[*]If it crashes or plain exit, sorry, try another version of Spring or the online method.

il make shour to download when Spring is working (i need to update my drivers) once its downloaded il play it then see how you mad it then edit for when you hit "page up" it actives it will be uesful for the Recon missions
