A short story

Post by FizWizz »

...Khan Pryde and Chancellor [edit]Gowron[/edit] were in the war room discussing war plans against the Kilrathi when a messenger ran into the room.
"Sir! SOC reports that Samus has returned from the deep recon mission. Apparently the Hammer of Light and the Protoss have signed a pact to move against the Antarans!"
...Yoda left his meditation, and said quietly to all in the room... "There is a disturbance in the force"
everyone turned toward him in ominous silence, until Owl replied:

O RLY??

I might add some weird shiznats tomorrow (maybe the beginnings of a plot O_o), but Khan Pryde and Chancellor [[edit]Gowron[/edit] are from 'tech and 'trek, respectively =P.

I figure that the first post lays out enough storyline already, so to hell with it, here's the prequel, the essential part of any superb story!

he looked cold, motionless, and lifeless; he was in suspended animation on a flight back home from a miserable five-year assignment in ├óÔé¼╦£the corps.├óÔé¼Ôäó
├óÔé¼┼ôGod-dammed paper-pushers, so cheap they book you on fridge freighters├óÔé¼┬Ø were the last words he muttered before stepping into his pod a week ago.
Suddenly violent popping sounds sounded throughout the cargo compartment, cutting the power. The lights went out and the sleeper pods shut off, everything was black and silent.
├óÔé¼┼ôSo this is what if feels like to be dead, huh?├óÔé¼┬Ø Our fearless hero thought to himself in his groggy state. ├óÔé¼┼ôA bit disappoi-├óÔé¼┼ô
├óÔé¼┼ôHello, anyone awake?├óÔé¼┬Ø a voice cried out from one of the ends of the compartment, and red back-up lights turned on.
Eyes open, looking around. Many of the pods visible across from the walkway have shattered or cracked hatches. Of these, most of them have blood spattered all over them from the inside. There├óÔé¼Ôäós a hissing sound in the compartment.
├óÔé¼┼ôWe just ran through a meteor shower, the computer says that this compartment has been breached and everyone needs to move into the forward section, everyone get moving! We├óÔé¼Ôäóre losing air, we don├óÔé¼Ôäót have time to drag around dead bodies!├óÔé¼┬Ø
*sigh* ├óÔé¼┼ôdead? no such luck...├óÔé¼┬Ø He opened his hatch and began moving slowly towards the front, when suddenly everything was jolted. A terrible rending, shredding sound came from ahead, and suddenly air was getting sucked out through the door the freighter copilot had come through. An alarm rang and the hatch slammed shut, but not before the copilot was knocked off his feet by the impact, and was sucked out by the vortex effortlessly.
The loud crash and growing awareness that the air was beginning to thin out was enough to bring our hapless passenger back to his senses
├óÔé¼┼ô...gotta get out of here├óÔé¼┬ª├óÔé¼┬Ø he thought, looking up and down the compartment for something to help him.
He glanced out a window in his scan of the ship and saw a planet. ├óÔé¼┼ôgood, it├óÔé¼Ôäós green├óÔé¼┬ª├óÔé¼┬Ø passing the window towards a set of escape pods he spotted near the back├óÔé¼┬ª.
